But doesn't the gospel's message contradict science?
When most people ask this question they really are asking whether this contradicts the theory of evolution. I think it does. But, not only is evolution a theory, it has very little factual evidence to back it up, and a lot of evidence that goes against it. In short, the contradiction the Bible has is not with science (in the sense of observable fact) but with a belief system that is popular today. Whether this belief system is solid or not – that’s where there is lots of debate.
